Student Blogging Project

Filed under: Uncategorized — by kschreckengost @ 4:08 am

I found a great classroom blogging site today (http://mscassidysclass.edublogs.org/) that helped me understand how to engage younger students (6 and 7 year olds) in using Web 2.0 technologies in the classroom. Since I currently work with elementary aged students ranging in age from 5 to 9 years old, I was really excited to see how the classroom teacher was able to get younger students to participate in posting pictures of their work as well as written reflections. I was really impressed that this classroom blog even has their own Twitter account!

  1. Isn’t it great to find examples of work that can be done with the students you work with? Sometimes we run into a brick wall. Knowing that with a little effort we can get ideas and support from others, even when we may be geographically isolated is very reassuring. I’m glad you found a resource.
